  • 1. Do you charge for your service?
     

    Absolutely, I wish I could provide my services out of love; however under capitalism financial considerations prevail.

  • 2. How long will it take to repair my computer?
     

    Repair times can depend on a number of variables, including warranty status, the workload at the time of drop-off, the time it may take to diagnose, the time it takes for a part to ship, and whether the part is on backorder. Typically repairs take 2 to 5 business days. Upgrades such as memory or hard drive installations can often be done within the same day.

  • 3. Will I need to drop off anything besides the computer?
     

    Usually no. Most of the time we have the necessary cables and accessories to get a machine up and running. Notebook computers are an exception to this rule; if you are bringing in your notebook for repair, please bring along the AC adapter or power cord for the machine, as we may not have the right cables for your specific model of notebook.

  • 4. How long is the warranty on a repair?
     

    Service parts have a warranty of 90 days, and we warranty the work and parts for that period of time. The warranty on software issues is 7 days.

    CWS Computer repair is authorized to provide warranty repair on Apple, Dell, HP/Compaq, IBM/Lenovo computers, and on HP printers. We fix most major brand computers that are out of warranty

    We create web sites for clients who are local as well as out of state. By using the Internet, email and the telephone, it’s possible to communicate effectively with clients anywhere in the USA.

    Several factors will affect the ultimate cost of your web site. These factors include the number of pages, if you will sell products online, the graphic work involved, and how interactive your web site will be. The good news is that we can do it at a low cost. You will also need Domain Registration and Web Hosting. We provide it all.

    The time frame is determined by the size of your web site, the complexity of your site design, and our current client design schedule. We can have a basic version of your site online within a week.

  • 4. What is a URL?
     

    A “Universal Resource Locator” is the address typed in to view your web page on the Internet.
    For example, you would type in http://www.citywebservices.net to access our home page. AKA “web address”.

  • 5. What is a domain name?
     

    A domain name is a specific web site address that you choose and register with a registrar such as
    GoDaddy.com, Register.com or Network Solutions. But CWS Web Hosting gives better
    prices than all of them! Domain names end in .com, .edu, .biz .gov and more.

  • 7. I am currently hosted with Register.com. Can I switch to a different host to save money?
     

    Just contact us and we’ll check to see if it will benefit you. Email us and we will take care of everything. We can transfer your domain name along with all of your existing web site content.

    Maintenance is a fee paid monthly, quarterly, or on an “as needed” basis to keep your site updated with new content that you provide.
    Good web sites have new content updated regularly. Fresh content keeps your visitors coming back!

  • 9. Why can’t I find my web site in the search engines?
     

    Once your site has been submitted to the top Search Engines they may require several weeks, or even months to actually spider and list your web site in their directory. For a fee, you can use various Guaranteed Search Engine Optimization Services. Such as CWS SEO Marketing

  • 2. Can you support our existing network?
     

    Yes. We can provide you the network support service once we analyze your existing network environment and redesign it (if necessary) to bring it up to a level where we can support it and lower your support costs. A stable network does not require "too much" constant support. If your network goes down constantly or does not perform at an acceptable level, it is probably a good idea to redesign or upgrade it before supporting it.

  • 5. What are some of your most common repairs?
     

    We repair a lot of Apple products (iPod Touch, iPad, iPhone). The most common repair we do is the glass screen replacement on those devices.
